Temporary Part-time Chaplain

JFS is seeking a talented and compassionate Temporary Part-Time Chaplain to join our team.  

Jewish Family Services (JFS) provides critical services and resources to meet the developmental needs of children, families and older adults throughout the St. Louis region. Led by a team of dedicated and experienced staff and clinicians, JFS offers extensive services, ranging from food and financial assistance to behavioral and mental health care. JFS has been enriching the lives of St. Louisans since 1871, delivering wrap-around services that provide holistic support and positive outcomes.

JFS Chaplains provide in-person client visits to isolated members of the Jewish community. Visits are made to skilled nursing facilities, group homes, and senior housing to ensure connection to the Jewish community.  

Candidate Requirements:

• Two units of clinical pastoral education,rabbinical ordination, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of the Jewish faith in order to provide pastoral care and share in   observances of religious holidays and lifecycle events
• Compassionate and purposeful
• Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the clients and organization
• Ability to maintain client records in a timely manner using a web-based data system

Temporary Part-Time; approx. 15 hours per week

Salary commensurate with experience
